Going out with the X?
Sometimes an X is used in logout graphics. When clicking the X, the user is logged out of the system and typically returned to the login page (as if you´d want to log in again straight away...) or some opening page.
But the X is Windowsish for Close Window. So unless the logout procedure actually closes the window that the user has been working in, I´d recommend using something else than an X in the logout graphic.
